Inner Harmony: Top 10 Ways To Find Your Tranquility
IF YOU FELT inner harmony and serenity in the past but find yourself losing your sense of spiritual calm, then keep reading and learn how to find more happiness and tranquility in the presence of stressors.
There once lived a little girl. She loved to play in her garden. She would hug the trees. Play among the flowers. Talk to the bees. And dance with the birds.
She felt at harmony.
One day a monster appeared. It disrupted the birds and the bees. Crushed the flowers. And snapped some of the trees. The girl cried when she saw what happened.
The garden gave her harmony of mind. Now it was disrupted. And the girl felt chaotic. She became sad and afraid. She no longer went outside. She began to ruminate and fell into a state of distress.
Weeks past until one day she made an important decision.
She decided to find harmony from within. She realized that with the Spiritual Law of Cause & Effect, to become the Cause nothing external could ever have power over her – and what happened in the garden was external. She didn’t focus on it anymore. She learned to work on her internal to be the cause, without being the effect..
Eventually, she went outside again. To her surprise the garden was back to normal. Even brighter than before. Magical. Sometimes the monsters would come and go. But it never affected her. She had obtained inner harmony no matter what happened.
This short story depicts inner harmony.
You see, harmony of mind relates to a conscious state of emotional or spiritual calm despite the potential presence of stressors (i.e. the monsters).
Adversity will test you. No doubt about it. But never look to the outside world for your inner harmony. Make harmony with yourself, and you will find your personal power.
Now let’s look at some ways to help you maintain control and be the cause.

1. Learn from past mistakes to move forward.
Mistakes teach us vital lessons. They help us move forward. Progress.
Imagine a cave dweller who lives in the mountains. One day he leaves the safety of his little cave to find food. He sees a baby bear playing – the first time he’s ever seen one. He moves closer to take a look. Grrrrr… Mamma bear sees the threat and goes after him.
He survives. He returns to his cave having learned a vital lesson. Of course he’s shaken up. But he still needs to go out for food next time. He just avoids getting close to baby bears from that day forward. In doing so, he contributes to the survival and growth of humanity because he learned from his disruption.
Disruptions happen. Disruptions of energy serve to bring clarity. They allow you more understanding so you can make wiser decisions. The real disconnect is when you ruminate and repeat the same disruption.
2. Live in the present to dissolve your worries.
We maintain power in the present. We can avoid anxiety and agony. Because in most cases the illusions of our past and future rarely turn into something real that could harm us.
In the present, you can take action or restriction. Whichever one you can get internal clarity that is in the highest interest of your Soul. What’s important is you have the power of choice. And that makes all the difference.
In the present, you have two main options. You can accept the situation and leave it at that. Or you can do something about it right then and there. Both options work in your favor because they both deal in the present.
Pleasure or pain might come from contemplating the past and future. But in the pursuit of inner harmony, you must deal with reality – and you can only find truth with the choices you make now – this moment.
3. Be true to attract opportunities.
Life may not be exactly the way you want it to be.
Maybe you expected to accomplish more than you did.
In any case, where you are right now can be accepted un-conditionally.
The point we are focusing on here is where you desire to be.
If you want to improve things, take action.
But first and foremost stay true to yourself.
Then make your vision clear, and move towards that dream with unshakeable faith and perseverance.
Only when you do what you love can you truly prosper.
4. Embrace forgiveness to dissolve resentment.
Forgive the people who you feel have wronged you.
When you hold on to anger and resentment, your energy and harmony rapidly corrode.
Your feelings of resentment are like a monster.
If you continue to feed the monster, it will continue to grow becoming scarier and more powerful with every bite.
Get rid of your monster by showing forgiveness.
You don’t have to approve of past actions and events.
But, when you forgive, you regain control of your energy and ultimately your inner harmony.
5. Never lose faith in what’s possible.
If you question your actions continuously, you’ll feel as if you’re going around in circles.
It’s nerve-racking.
You can’t keep thinking about what if this happens or what if that happens.
In the end, you’ll find yourself losing confidence and giving up.
Instead, hold fast to your dreams have the faith that you’ll capture them or something better.
A great affirmation for this is, “this or something better will manifest now!”
Keep your faith in yourself, no matter what happens.
6. Turn down excessive noise to clarify your thoughts.
Life’s background noise can drown out your clarity and thoughts.
You’ll find it difficult to find inner harmony if you can’t hear yourself think.
So, I suggest you turn off the TV, switch off the radio, shut down the internet, and turn off your mobile phone for a bit.
Now, spend some time simply being, existing, in silence, while you let your thoughts wander naturally.
One of the best ways I found to silence the noise is to spend time doing Walking Meditation in nature.
Nothing quite beats the smell of fresh air, the beautiful energy of mother earth, and watching the animals go about their day.
Meditation encourages many benefits that bring harmony.
You release negativity from your mind and instead find harmony and a sense of comfort.
You renew and rejuvenate your body and feel fresher and more capable of coping with whatever life throws your way.
Even meditating just 10 minutes a day will have a profound effect on your health and well-being.
7. Cut out the excessive to make life easier.
No doubt your life get’s pretty hectic.
Whether your friends, family, or work takes up the majority of your time is irrelevant.
What’s important is that you find ways to cut the needless tasks which siphon your time, harmony, and happiness.
The best way to accomplish this is the 80/20 rule.
Here’s how it works:
Most things follow an 80/20 rule, as observed by Pareto’s Law.
Pareto’s Law is a mathematical calculation designed to show the distribution of wealth in society.
Apparently, 80% of all wealth and income is produced and possessed by 20% of the population.
The financial implications of this formula aren’t important right now, instead, take a look at how it applies to you.
How?
Well, this principle is weirdly accurate when it comes to all things in life.
For example, within this formula, 80% of your sadness likely comes from 20% of the people in your life. 80% of your psychological pain probably comes from 20% of your past experiences. 80% of your knowledge is likely gathered from 20% of the information you read. And so on.
Now take a second to grab a piece of paper and a pen, then split your life into segments.
You might include friends, family, work, leisure, etc.
Next, write down the 20% in each segment which challenges your inner harmony the most, then take steps to choose different.
8. Slow down because life speeds up at times.
When you run from one thing to the next, you don’t leave time for inner harmony.
Also, when you rush your mind becomes blocked to new opportunities and adventures.
Take some time to slow down.
Grab a pen and paper and draw up a schedule which gives you time to do nice things for yourself.
It’s not all about work and other people’s needs, you know.
And we forget that sometimes to slow down and appreciate the miracle of our existence.
9. Spend time on your own to realign your thoughts.
Your schedule might be busy.
In fact, it probably is.
But when was the last time spent a moment alone with yourself to collect and realign your thoughts.
I find my alone time deeply rejuvenating.
Whether you listen to music, take a walk, or enjoy a candlelit bath.
Any time away from the hustle of life helps clear the mind.
What you choose to do is not the most important thing, taking the time for yourself is!
As long as it calms your mind and you do it alone.
10. Avoid negative media to let your mind recover.
The news might seem necessary. I believed it was for years.
But these days I limit my exposure to most news sources.
You see, scenes of violence, pain, and suffering make up the majority of news stories on TV and other media outlets.
These images carry a negative vibration.
And you’ll find this bad energy can shift onto you before you.
You won’t find inner harmony and joy if you remain watching horrors the majority of time.
If you’re searching for spiritual serenity, then take a break from all the tragedies of life and focus on the positives so you can return to a pleasant state.
Final Thought
Take part in activities that make you smile and spread love and happiness in your heart.
Your memories should be happy ones.
On top of that, you should seek to learn and experience beautiful new things at every opportunity.
Inner harmony is magical.
When you wake up in the morning, you look forward to your day.
When you talk to people, you radiate love and happiness.
It’s something you should aspire to every day.
So, choose a few ways from the list above and start discovering your inner harmony.
